Saul Gitlin is the Executive Vice President of Strategic Marketing Services/ New Business for K & L Advertising, the nation's leading multicultural marketing consulting and communications agency specializing in reaching Asian Americans. Among the many functions that Saul oversees at the agency, he has directed the agency planning teams for AT&T, 10-10-345, Bank of America, Sears, Pernod-Ricard USA, The New York Times, and Allstate Insurance. He also directed the planning team for Census 2000, for which he conceived and executed the largest single research project in K & L's history - a national quantitative/qualitative study fielded simultaneously with nine ethnic groups in ten languages. This project won the Advertising Research Federation's 2001 Grand Ogilvy Award, the highest honor for research in the advertising industry.

In the new business arena, Saul directed the agency teams that won new accounts from Prudential Insurance (1998), Hallmark (1998), The New York Times (1999), Best Foods/Mazola Corn Oil (2000), Allstate Insurance (2001), Western Union (2002), National Basketball Association - NBA (2003), and H&R Block (2003). Saul is also heavily published on the topic of multicultural marketing and regularly addresses national conferences sponsored by IIR, SRI, and industry trade groups. He has served on the Multicultural Media Research Sub-Committee of the Association of National Advertisers (ANA), and he is a member of the advisory committee for the NY AMA Effie Awards. Saul is also a Board Member of the Asian American Advertising Federation (3AF), and the current Chair of the organization's Research Committee.

Prior to coming to K & L, Saul worked for 10 years in senior marketing and consulting positions for multinational corporations in the People's Republic of China, Israel, and the United States. He is completely fluent in Mandarin Chinese, Hebrew, and French and holds a BA in Asian Studies from Cornell, an MA in East Asian Studies from Yale, and an MBA in Marketing from Columbia.
