Not only are we the single largest agency buyer of Asian-language media on a national scale, we also hold that distinction in the State of California - home to almost 40% of all Asian Americans.   • We were the first agency to publish a comprehensive Asian media reference guide
  • We pioneered the use of many media channels that are now widely available in the Asian communications industry. For example, our media teams were the first to utilize Asian media print FSIs, and the first to negotiate the creation of commercial space on Asian-language videocassette rentals
K & L's media expertise has been honed through the agency's long relationships with clients that are leading category spenders in the Asian market. In 1999-2000, we developed and executed what is, to date, the single largest and most ethnically diverse media campaign in the multicultural markets - the Census 2000 Asian/East European/Middle Eastern multicultural markets media plan. This plan, which reached 13 distinct ethnic groups in 14 different languages, resulted in K & L being honored with the prestigious "Media Plan of the Year Award" in 2001 by Mediaweek Magazine.
