K & L Advertising is the only Asian American agency with a stand-alone Strategic Planning & Research Department consisting of marketing and advertising professionals, all of whom who hold top-tier MBA degrees and have long experience as experts in multicultural communications. We work hand-in-hand with both clients and internal agency teams to identify marketing opportunities, plan communications strategies, plan and manage consumer research, analyze competitive media activity, and track and analyze client program results.

In the research arena, K & L has spearheaded more Asian American consumer research projects than any other multicultural agency. In the last 5 years alone, we have directed more than 30 separate qualitative and quantitative studies in diverse categories for a broad range of clients.
In 2001, K & L's Strategic Planning & Research Department was honored within the advertising industry when it received the Advertising Research Foundation's Grand Ogilvy Award for the research K & L conducted on behalf of our client, the US Census 2000. For the Census, K & L conceived and directed a national qualitative/quantitative research study that was simultaneously fielded with 9 ethnic groups in 10 languages. The ARF Grand Ogilvy Award is the highest honor for research within the advertising industry.
